David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Prolific children's author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the firm commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an review of allegations of questionable actions towards young women.
The company declined to specify the reasons for its decision, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, having sold in excess of 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
He has published in excess of 40 works in total, including a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
